Hi. I’m Daniel Freeman, although I prefer to go by Dan. I have been disabled since birth: I have Cerebral Palsy, Crohn’s disease, and am deaf in my left ear. Originally from Wheaton, IL, I studied English and Theater at Indiana University-Bloomington during my undergraduate career. I also hold an MS in Counseling and College Student Development from Kansas State University and an MA in Children’s and Young Adult Literature from Illinois State University.
I write and research about disability and queer issues in my own life and their representation in Children’s/ YA Literature, theater, education, and pop culture.
